What motivates an artist to draw or paint?
It’s certainly not for the money and art is not a business (though some uncreative people try and make it one), but everyone needs an income to survive, so here’s a selection of original drawings and painting currently for sale which will add a few coppers to my pension.

A lot of the inspiration for the poses come from a collaboration with the model. Although the models get paid to pose by the hour, they are still highly underpaid considering they’re not working a 9 to 5 hour day 5 days a week. They don’t get sick pay, holiday pay or any of the perks you get working for the establishment. A few also give a little bit of their soul which I’m always trying to capture in my work, so, as a gesture, 10% of any painting sale will go directly to the model as a bonus.
